To go to booking system click here
OTHER Information
Full instructions are provided to you after log in. Please note the following points:
- When you log on, the system displays only your own child/children.
- You will only see time slots that are available at the time you are using the system. As time slots are booked for teachers, those time slots are no longer displayed as available. PTO prevents double-booking of teachers or parents/guardians.
- When you have made all the bookings you require, you can download or email a report of your bookings in time order for printing. You can log in and change bookings any time up to 10am on the day of interviews. You can also download a map of the school to showing where to park and where interviews will be conducted.
- If you see this symbol displayed along side the class name, it means this teacher recommends that you book an interview.
- Other parents may be making bookings at the same time. It is possible that a time slot is displayed to you as available, but then is booked by another parent. If you then attempt to book this time slot it will not be available and a message will be displayed to indicate this.
- Interviews will be conducted on site at Marden Senior College. Click here for map
If you encounter any problems using PTO please contact the school office by phone on 8366 2800, or by email to info@msc.sa.edu.au.

Governing Council Change
Governing Council Constitution Change – Parent Opportunity
Background
Marden Senior College has successfully transitioned from adult re-entry college to specialist senior secondary college with a younger student cohort. Consequently, it is proposed that the membership of the Governing Council be changed to include parents.
Constitution Change and Opportunity
We wish to inform the school community of a proposed change to the Governing Council constitution to include three parents effective from March 2016, when the new group first meet. This presents an opportunity for parents of students who will be enrolled at Marden Senior College in 2016 to join the group.
Role of Governing Council
The Governing Council has oversight of the school budget and the site improvement plan (Strategic Plan). The Governing Council also determines policy and at all times works to support the Principal to ensure that Marden Senior College is a safe and inclusive learning environment at the forefront of modern education practice.
Action
Should you wish to express interest in joining the 2016 Marden Senior College Governing Council, or are seeking further information, contact the principal, Stephen Inglis – email singlis@msc.sa.edu.au or phone 8366 2888.
Interested parents and the school community are also invited to attend the next Governing Council meeting on Monday 19 October 2015 when there will be a vote to approve the constitution change. The following special resolution will be put to the meeting:
That the Governing Council submit an application to the Minister seeking approval to change the Governing Council Constitution Model from:
‘For a school with principally adult students’, to:
‘For a school with all adult students or a mix of continuing and adult students’, as detailed below:
For a school with all adult students or a mix of continuing and adult students
The Governing Council shall comprise the following members:
(i) the Principal of the school (ex officio);
(ii) staff members, nominated to the Council by election at a general staff meeting, in the ratio determined by the Minister;
(iii) one member nominated by each of the approved affiliated committees of the school Council, up to a maximum of 3;
(iv) community members appointed by the Council (limit of 3);
(v) continuing (non-adult) students and adult students nominated by the student representative Council, or if there is no SRC, by the students, in accordance with the distribution of continuing/re-entry students expressed as full time equivalents.
(vi) elected parents, the number being the minimum necessary to make elected parents of the school plus nominated students the majority of councillors.
Please contact the principal if you are planning to attend the meeting.
