Parent/Carer Workshop
Please find below flyers for two ‘Who’s in Charge?’ courses. One course will be at the Enfield Library and the other at the Port Adelaide Library.
‘Who is In Charge?’ is a supportive and empowering 8-week group program designed for parents and carers of young people aged 8-18 who are experiencing challenges with control, violence, or defiance. This free course offers a safe space for parents and carers to share experiences, reduce feelings of guilt and shame, and learn effective strategies for managing challenging behaviours.
Participants will explore various aspects of parenting, including understanding power dynamics in relationships and coping with stress. The program also focuses on enhancing safety and well-being for both parents and their children and will provide valuable insights and practical tools to navigate the complexities of parenting in a supportive and understanding environment.
This project is jointly funded by Centacare Catholic Family Services and Department of Social Services.

It gives me great pleasure to present our outstanding 2024 Year 12 results to the Marden Senior College community.
Congratulations to the 404 students who undertook SACE Stage 2 subjects at Marden Senior College in 2024 for their impressive results. The high level of achievement includes the following results:

- 66 merits
- 57% (126 students) achieved a 90+ ATAR
- 23% (51 students) achieved an ATAR of 99+

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) we also have a large number of students undertaking VET certificates. This year, 17 students completed SACE with a VET qualification. These are outstanding results and sincere congratulations to all students and their families. We wish you all the very best as you move into life beyond school.
At Marden Senior College we pride ourselves in supporting all students to achieve their personal best and this is reflected in the wonderful results.

Student Statement
“My learning was hindered when I had teachers I did not have a connection with. My grades and attitude towards learning was poor, and I did not receive the help or connection I needed from them.
As I changed schools to Marden Senior College for my senior years, I encountered teachers that changed my perception of learning, where positive relationships were created and teachers took time out of their day to make these connections.
I now know, by personal experience, how students can benefit academically, through creating strong bonds and good relationships with teachers.”
