1. Beginning or Continuing SACE: Any student can be considered to enrol in full or part of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course.
2. Under 21 Improving ATAR: Students under 21 who have completed SACE but wish to improve their ATAR or gain a university prerequisite subject can enrol in full or part-time study.
3. Under 21 Returning to Education: Students under 21 who left school without completing SACE can enrol to meet SACE requirements, including Stage 1 and 2 subjects and/or VET Certificates.
4. Over 21: Students over 21 who have not completed SACE or had 5 continuous years of SACE learning can be considered to enrol in SA Government schools to complete it, including Stage 1 and 2 subjects and/or VET Certificates through a SACE Pathway Plan.

All courses at Marden Senior College allow students to complete SACE and all certificates are nationally recognised training courses through the Marden Senior College Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and other providers.

Fees

Marden Senior College is committed to ensuring that courses are financially accessible to students.
Our fees are consistent with the fee structure set for government schools.
Costs will vary depending on the courses and subjects undertaken and whether students enrol full time or part time. However, as a guide:

• SACE full year subjects – $160
• SACE half year subjects – $80
• Specialist Subject (Medicine & Dentistry Preparation, Workplace Practices and Accelerate @ Marden) – $300
• VET certificate courses – fees vary according to the certificate
• Access to materials and services fee – $130

Other costs

Some subjects and VET courses may incur additional costs for activities to support learning e.g. excursions, materials, revision guides.

When is payment required?

Fees are expected to be paid once the invoice has been received. Subject fees may be paid in full or negotiated in instalments.

Applying for School Fee Assistance via the School Card Scheme

You may be eligible for support with payment of Materials & Services fees and subject fees if you are a low income earner. School Card assistance must be applied for each year as the assessment process is based on your income for the prior financial year. We recommend that you lodge your application for School Card assistance with the school early each year. This will allow you to establish a payment plan with the school early in the year if your School Card application is not approved.
