This course is a pathway into the construction industry. It is a practical ‘live works’ program which has been developed around real workplace tasks. Students construct a range of infrastructure projects including sheds, pergolas, internal construction, framing, planter boxes, retaining walls, paving and BBQ areas. These works can be undertaken at school or for a not for profit community organisation such as a Rotary Club.

Friday: 9.00 am – 3.00 pm
After completing this course, pathways for graduates include CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry, RII30915 Certificate III in Civil Construction, and RII30815 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations. The qualification has core units of competency that are required in many Certificate III qualifications. The elective options are structured to allow choice from a range of units aligned at Certificate III level and in total could provide meaningful credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship.
