This course will help students become job ready for businesses such as cafes, delis, bakeries, catering, hospitality and kitchens in locations such as aged care facilities. The training will give students the opportunity to gain key skills and/or recognition in food handling, food preparation, customer service, selling and barista/cafe duties.
Training Day and Time(s):
Thursday: 8.45 am – 3.30 pm
This course is tailored as an introduction into baking and patisserie and will give students the opportunity to gain key skills in food handling, food preparation/cafe duties. Students will produce quality food and beverage products to serve and sell to staff and students in the Marden cafeteria one day a week over recess and lunch. Each week students will produce a minimum of two new products and espresso coffee to order. A theory component is also included.
