(For completion of a full qualification in CUA31015 Certificate III in Screen and Media, it is essential to complete both Game Design and semester short course, 3D Character Design)
Students research games and work in teams to generate ideas, investigate genres and draft game designs through storyboarding. The major final product will be the creation of a game using tools such as Gamemaker or Unity. Students will also develop 3D models, 3D environments, logos, sound effects and merchandise to ready them for Indie game development.
Training Day and Time(s):
Thursday: 8.45 am – 3.30 pm
Students are required to be confident in using computers. Basic skills in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator is not required but recommended. Students must be prepared to complete work at home when required.
This Certificate reflects the role of a skilled operator within the Digital Media industry. Completion of the full certificate course (including the semester twilight class) may lead to further study in Certificate IV in Screen and Media, courses in Digital Media, Interactive Media, Game Art and Visual Effects. Depending upon students’ individual course specialisations further training may get them employment in: Film and Television sectors, Special Effects Companies, Game Production Studies, Visual Effects Industry.
