Direct pathway to Flinders University
Marden Senior College and Flinders University have proudly collaborated to develop a direct entry pathway to university. No ATAR required.
This pathway is available to Marden Senior College students undertaking the Certificate III in Screen and Media (Visual Effects or Game Design), in combination with the SACE. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in educational and engagement activities with Flinders University, supporting connection and readiness for tertiary study.
HOW IT WORKS:
Successfully complete the Certificate III in Screen and Media (Visual Effects or Game Design ) course and qualify for the SACE certificate. This is a guaranteed pathway to Flinders University subject to the entry requirements being met. Entry requirements:
- SACE completion
- Successful completion of the Certificate III in Screen and Media (Visual Effects or Game Design)
- Two of the recommended stage 2 SACE subjects from the list below (C grade or higher required)
- Any additional course specific entry requirements as listed on the relevant course webpage (e.g. subject pre-requisites, audition, portfolio, etc) will also need to be met.
Please note: this program is only available to Marden Senior College Students.
OFFER:
Marden students apply through SATAC and Marden Senior College will inform Flinders University of eligibility for the program. You will receive an offer via SATAC in January once all the entry requirements have been met and confirmed.
AGREEMENT:
MARDEN SENIOR COLLEGE and FLINDERS UNIVERSITY have reached agreement on the following areas of cooperation:
- VET to University pathways – Guaranteed admission/enrolment pathway, as outlined in the table below.
- Extension Studies – selected University topics that can be completed as part of a student’s South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) studies and University entrance. Details at: www.flinders.edu.au/extension
