Students respond to a range of texts that instruct, engage, challenge, inform, and connect readers. They consider information, ideas, and perspectives represented in the texts. Students also create their own texts through procedural, imaginative, analytical, interpretive, or persuasive writing, appropriate to their chosen context. Students are free to explore their own interests outside of the class texts through a language study.
