This course prepares students with the skills and knowledge to build a career in an office environment. Skills are developed within a simulated business environment. This course includes studies in the areas of technology, information handling, communication, organisation and team skills.
Training Day and Time(s):
Monday: 8.45am – 3.30pm
Wednesday: 1.30pm – 7.30pm
Students must be prepared to complete required homework each week and attend school holiday workshops in Term 1, 2 and 3.
Completion of this full certificate course may lead to employment as a General Clerk, Word Processing Operator, Data Entry Operator, Personal Assistant, Receptionist, Clerical Officer or Customer Service Officer. Clerical-administrative workers are found in all industries, providing support to businesses by organising, storing, manipulating and retrieving information. Graduates from this qualification may choose to undertake further studies such as the Certificate IV in Business in a range of fields including administration, sales, marketing/communication and leadership management.
